Alpha: A dialogue About faith

Colwood Church is hosting Alpha, an open and informal dialogue about faith, the person of Jesus, and other big questions of life. We want to hear your thoughts and questions as we explore these themes together without the pressured atmosphere that usually comes with these conversations. Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over eight weeks. Each week features a talk that looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation and then there is room for a discussion afterward. We invite you to come out to our next Alpha! If you are interested, you can register today, by clicking on the link below.

FAQ’S

  • Alpha is a series of sessions focused on exploring questions of life, faith and meaning.

Each session will consist of three things: a meal, a video, and plenty of space to share your thoughts and hear from others.

  • Even though we serve a meal at each Alpha, there is no charge.

We want people to have space to talk and have important conversations, and we don’t ever want cost to be a a hinderance.

  • Alpha is meant for people who do not attend church, or would not call themselves Christians.

  • The first night of Alpha is an “Interest Night.” There is no commitment or pressure, and there will be no follow-up. If you choose to continue on, we encourage you to attend as many sessions as you can to get the most of your Alpha experience.

  • Yes! We run online Alpha’s, as well as “In Person” courses. Just check our “Next Alpha” section to see which version of the course is offered next.

  • If you’ve taken the Alpha Course and want to serve on the Alpha team, we are always looking for great people to help lead tables, or serve on our food team.
