On October 1st, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, Colwood Church will be hosting a free workshop led by Jay and Gretta Kennedy from FamilyLife Canada.

Discipline That Connects With Your Child’s Heart is a parenting workshop designed to help you tone down the chaos and create a more peaceful home.

If the way you were raised and traditional advice just aren’t working, and you’ve read the books and scoured the internet for advice, but still feel overwhelmed, confused, or maybe even guilty—we get it!

In this workshop, you will be given tools to help parents get on the same page, improve your relationship with your child, and lead with love, not anger or fear.

ABout the facilitators

Jay and Gretta met as adventure guides taking teens rock climbing and whitewater rafting. They love adventure so much that after marrying in 2003 they decided to welcome their three kids in less than three years. Those early marriage and parenting years kept them riding the thin line between delightful chaos and pure insanity. Together they have served for over 20 years in full-time ministry and are passionate about encouraging couples in their marriages and parenting journeys. Jay and Gretta are the regional reps for FamilyLife Canada on Vancouver Island. They enjoy travel blogging as a family and are continuing the parenting adventure, but now with three teenagers.
