The Roots is Colwood’s ministry geared towards mature adults. The Roots gather throughout the year for times of fellowship, fun, food, and inspiration. If you are over 55 and are looking for a place to connect with others, we invite you to join us at our next event!

upcoming event: Island Cruise

When: Wednesday, July 8th | Where: Taking the ferry to the Southern Gulf Islands | Time: Leaving Swartz Bay at 9:10 am, returning at 1:30 pm

We are inviting you to an island cruise around the Southern Gulf Islands! We will depart from Swartz Bay with stops at Saturna Island, Mayne Island, and Galiano Island. We will return to Swartz Bay at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Please bring your own lunch. Beverages and snacks will be available for purchase on board.

We will remain on the ferry for the duration of the trip and will not be disembarking at any of the islands, it is foot passenger only.

Please note, You will have to get your own ride out. Be sure to allow time for parking and walking to the terminal, don’t forget to pay for parking.

BC senior residents with valid ID can travel for free. The fare for all other passengers is $13.55.
